This Christmas
Give the Gift of Adventure
Change a vulnerable young person's life

Throughout December we are hoping to raise £3,000 - enough to cover the cost of one person's place on the 3 year Youth Adventure Programme starting in 2016.

Changing lives through outdoor adventure
At the Youth Adventure Trust we believe that outdoor adventure can have a massive impact on somebody's life. The positive effects of challenging yourself, learning to trust others and work as part of a team are immeasurable.  The young people we work with are unlikely to ever have those opportunities unless we make it possible.
Who we work with
All of the young people on the 3 year Youth Adventure programme are vulnerable or disadvantaged in some way. Many are struggling at school, aren't able to fit in, hate being in the classroom, have no positive role model, no aspirations, or chaotic and unstable home lives. They could be young carers looking after a parent or other family member, they may be in foster care, on the brink of getting an ASBO or being excluded from school. These are all familiar tales, but at the Youth Adventure Trust we believe that by taking these young people outside they can quickly discover their potential and exceed their expectations. We use outdoor adventure to inspire them and give them the hope, confidence and skills to face the challenges in their daily lives.

Excellent value for money
The Youth Adventure programme is completely free of charge for the young people who take part.  As well as taking the young people on 3 residential camps and 7 adventure activity days, we ensure they have all of the right outdoor clothing, transport to and from the camps and everything they need whilst they are away. On average, it costs us £3,000 per place on the programme.
Your support makes a massive difference
The trust receives no statutory funding and relies on the generosity of individuals, companies and grant makers to raise the money needed to deliver this life changing programme to 240 young people each year.
