'We are passionate about enabling singers to join together and raise their voices to help those with life limiting illnesses. For us, singing is a life enhancing activity and this seems an appropriate way to give something back for the pleasure we enjoy'

Hospice care changes lives, offering quality care, dignity and compassion for people facing the end of their life. Every year hospices provide expert support to around 360,000 people, including adults and children with life-limiting or terminal conditions and their friends and families.

All Hospices are heavily reliant on fundraising. For example, Princes Alice Hospice in Esher, where Voices for Hospices originated back in 1989 now needs over £9m/year to run but only receives 25% from the NHS. While the precise numbers vary from Hospice to Hospice the reliance on  fundraising certainly does not!

The Voices for Hospices Choir organises fundraising Concerts and Come and Sing events and seeks to encourage other choirs to set up their own VfH events to support their local Hospices.

Next Event
Massed Come and Sing Performance of The Armed Man
27th Sept 2015 at Kempton Park Racecource

Our next event is a Massed Come and Sing Performance of The Armed Man on 27th September which will be attended by the composer Sir Karl Jenkins who is a great VfH supporter.

The event is part of the Festival of Rugby so will include  a number of ‘singalong’ Rugby Anthems accompanied by  the Band of the Honourable Artillery Company. There will also be a mini rugby demonstration, picnic facilities, bars, food stalls and much more.

Tickets are £25 for Singers, £10 for Non Singers and children under 12 are free. All Proceeds will be divided equally between a number of Hospices in Surrey and Hampshire

We have capacity for thousands and are aiming to make it a great day out for both singers and non singers - there is much more information on our website including a link for tickets.

All donations received will help increase the amount we are able to give to support the wonderful work of 'our' Hospices. To make a donation please select one of the amounts below or fill in your own amount in the box provided.
