The Sick Children's Trust
The 2010 Tower Power Challenge
West Yorkshire
22 May 2010
Join us for a tower run up Bridgewater Place Tower, the tallest building in Yorkshire. 30 flights, 600 stairs, 1 great cause! The Sick Children’s Trust believes no child should be separated from their family whilst receiving treatment in hospital for serious illness. We provide high quality 'Home from Home' accommodation for families and their sick children. The 2010 Tower Power Challenge aims to help raise £90,000 in reaching our target of £1.7 million for ‘The Big Move’ appeal. Our Leeds ‘Home from Home’ (Eckersley House) is currently on the grounds of St James’s Hospital. However, this is about to change as the NHS Trusts are moving all of their children’s wards to Leeds General Infirmary in June. If we don’t move Eckersley House too, hundreds of sick children will go through prolonged illness without their families being close by. Last year we helped over 350 families from within the Yorkshire region alone, as well as hundreds more from across the UK. Do something amazing this year: take part in the 2010 Tower Power Challenge and make a real difference. You must be 18 years old or over to take part in this event
