The Notting Hill Housing Trust
Homepage
Notting Hill Housing Trust houses over 70,000 people across London. It was set up in 1963 by a local clergyman who felt driven to do something about the shocking housing conditions of poor people in west London. Many of our tenants are vulnerable and isolated and need high levels of support.
The fundraising department exists for them. We raise funds from individuals, supporters, companies and trusts, and channel the funds directly to who needs it most. We:
- Offer our tenants employment and training to help them back on their feet
- Provide grant funds for our neediest and poorest tenants
- Run a mentoring scheme for marginalised young people which supports them to achieve their best.
- Run Fast Forward – a unique and practical scheme that gives ex-homeless people a secure home for 2 -5 years while we support them to achieve social and economic independence.
Notting Hill Housing also runs many programmes throughout the local community, helping local people with healthy eating, training in construction, community engagement and more. For more information call 020 8357 5333.
