Mission Care is a Christian charity that has served communities in South East London for over one hundred years. This is a picture of one of our residents at Willett House, Chislehurst, with our activities co-ordinator during an arts and craft session.

Our charitable objectives have always been to relieve poverty, relieve sickness and to advance the Christian faith.  These are realised through the provision of nursing and residential care to vulnerable members of our local communities and partly through our work overseas with Mission Care International.

Initially known as the Bermondsey Medical Mission, Mission Care was established in 1904 by Dr Selena Fox, to provide medical and spiritual support to societys most vulnerable people.  The heritage of the Mission continues to guide our work today.  We continue to promote the ethos and values upon which the organisation was founded and work to realise the vision and commitment of our founders to improved services for the elderly and the sick.

We are privileged to offer a loving and comfortable home to over two hundred residents in five care homes in Bromley and Southwark.  Every one of our homes is committed to delivering a high standard of person-centre care that serves our residents social, physical, clinical and emotional needs.

In 2004 in celebration of our centenary, Mission Care International was established to complement and advance our work at home, by seeking to serve vulnerable and marginalised people outside of the UK.
