Sentebale’s aim is to help transform the lives of Lesotho's orphans and vulnerable children, through empowering them to reach their full potential.

Founded by Prince Harry and Lesotho’s Prince Seeiso, Sentebale works with grass roots community based organisations to deliver long term help and support to Lesotho’s children.

Lesotho is a unique and beautiful country, but with extreme poverty and the third highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world. Life expectancy is on average just 41 years. Lesotho has a population of just 1.9million, yet it is estimated there are at least 360,000 orphans, and 13% of all children are vulnerable; their rights to survival and development are not being met. The people of Lesotho are fighting for survival against the HIV/AIDS pandemic ravaging the country and extreme poverty. Together we can help them win that fight.

Sentebale is committed to identifying, supporting and empowering Lesotho’s most vulnerable children, helping them to transform their own lives, and giving them a leg up to escape the poverty trap. We are helping the most vulnerable children; orphans, abused, disabled, ill, deprived children and herd boys.
