St Joseph's Hospice Association
St Joseph's Hospice, or Jospice as we are also known, is one of the oldest hospices in the UK, and was the first hospice to be opened on Merseyside.
The charity started in 1962, when our founder, the late Father Francis O'Leary opened the first hospice in the name of Jospice International in Pakistan. Several other sites in Central and South America followed, and in 1974, the hospice in Thornton was opened to care for terminally ill people and their families in Liverpool and Sefton.
Today, more than 40 years on, we are still here, offering first class care and support in a home from home environment to over 250 individuals and their families each year, as well as continuing to support our projects overseas.
In order to continue our work both at home and abroad, we need to raise more than £2,000,000 each year. Thank you so much for helping us to do that. Your support means to world to so many people, and we thank you on their behalf.
