Founded in 1921, the Musicians Benevolent Fund has been providing vital help and support to musicians and their families for nearly 90 years and now it has grown to be the largest charity of its kind in the UK. There are two main strands to the Fund’s work: helping music professionals who are struggling because of accident, illness or old age and helping highly talented young musicians through with their education and the difficult first steps into a career in music.
