What does DCH Charity do? Why fundraise for Dorset County Hospital? Why donate to Dorset County Hospital?
Dorset County Hospital Charity aims to help fund the important extras... making patient care better by raising funds for the latest technology and equipment, making the staff’s working environment and facilities better, and helping to provide superior training opportunities... essentially making Dorset County Hospital and the service it provides the best it can be.
Nearly 300,000 patients are cared for at the Hospital on an annual basis. Good healthcare is priceless but the provision of excellent healthcare comes with a big price tag. Many of the important programmes that make a difference and touch the lives of our community are possible only through charitable giving. Charitable giving helps launch or sustain programmes over and above that which the NHS provides.

The Charity does not seek to provide alternative funding to that provided by the NHS but exists to enhance and improve the services provided...to go that extra mile!
-
Dorset County Hospital Charity is an independent registered charity; a not-for-profit entity governed by a committee who ensure that all donations are spent in accordance with the wishes of the donors.
