The Hope Foundation For Cancer Research
Hope Against Cancer raises money to fund local Cancer Research Projects in the Hospitals and Universities of Leicester and Leicestershire.
In the space of 12 years thanks to the enormous generosity of the local community and a dedicated team of volunteers, Hope has raised in excess of £4m, which has funded over 40 research projects tackling many forms of cancer.
Hope has worked tirelessly to raise the standard of research to enable the Universities and Hospitals of Leicester to be able to offer the very latest advice on patient care and treatments. In May 2012 the Hope Against Cancer Clinical Trials Unit was opened at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
By providing trials and supporting cancer research today we aim to develop effective treatments for the future.
HOPE has been instrumental in ensuring that Leicester became a cancer research centre of excellence in 2014 and we are raising money to fund priority research into early detection and prevention of cancers.
Hope needs to raise £350,000 every year to ensure we keep making a difference to cancer patients of Leicestershire and Rutland, and the wider community.
