We are an approved Enterprise Agency established in Hackney in 1984.

By most measures, Hackney is the most deprived borough in England, although it is also vibrant and enterprising!

We aim to help people improve their lives, and to alleviate poverty and disavantage by teaching people about enterprise and helping some of them to start, fund and grow viable businesses.

Every year we handle well over 5,000 enquiries.

These lead to local people benefiting from various types of quality assured, tailored support such as training, workshops, advice, and support with raising the funding for viable enterprises and business ideas.

Over the years we have levered over £10 million of finance into local small firms, helping them to create almost 1,000 new jobs and safeguard many more.

We teach our clients to speak the language of enterprise, (which employers value highly) so even if running their own business is not for them, they can leave us with useful, transferable skills that can make them more employable.

We also work with existing businesses to help them overcome trading difficulties and / or to grow and create more jobs , thus further supporting the local community and economy.
