NKF has two roles:
a) Patient Support for the 20,000 transplanted kidney patients who need ongoing support, 25,000 dialysis patients and 2,000,000 early chronic kidney patients (CKD) who need reassurance and help.
b) Campaigning - The NKF works tirelessly to persuade Government, the Department of Health and the NHS to provide better treatment and services for the 45,000 kidney patients suffering end stage renal failure, and the two million people identified with CKD
