Citizens Advice
Homepage
The Citizens Advice service provides free, confidential and impartial advice to help people resolve their problems. But were not just here for times of crisis - we also use clients stories, anonymously, to campaign for improvements to the policies and practices that affect all of our lives.
There are nearly 400 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales. All bureaux are registered charities and, between them, they make advice available from over 3,500 locations, including the high street, community centres and doctors surgeries. Citizens Advice is separate registered charity - the national membership body for Citizens Advice Bureaux - providing information systems, training and support, as well as leading on national campaigning activity.
Last year the Citizens Advice service helped 2.1 million people with 7.1 million problems - problems connected to housing and employment, debt and consumer issues, plus everything conceivable in between. That help took the form of advice, letter writing, form filling, casework and even representation in court.
Four in ten people have used a CAB at some point in their lives. Perhaps you have, or someone you know? Please support our vital work in communities across England and Wales.
