Web Support and Admin

Like so many other online movements that are changing the world, the Pelican Post is very much about connecting people with organisations at the grass roots level.

All the team here at Pelican Towers operate on a voluntary basis.  Our overheads are almost zero so that we can concentrate on delivering amazing stories to children and focus on our core objectives of inspiring the next generation of young minds and in improving literacy rates.

Our core platform however is our website which sadly does require routine maintenance work every now and again to ensure no pesky bugs or hackers creep in (-why people do this is beyond us-seems such a waste of talent!)

We would also like to do so much more.  It’s amazing what you can achieve on a shoestring budget but why stop there? We believe we have only scratched the surface about the potential of the scheme, and are keen to expand our model further and provide greater feedback and functionality to our growing network of school supporters.

This appeal is therefore to specifically raise £10,000 to be able to launch a beta version of the scheme which would enable us to significantly scale up the success we have achieved to date in delivering inspiring reads to thousands of children.  All donations are gratefully received and go directly to this appeal so you know exactly what you are supporting.

And if you are if have been inspired by the schemes achievements and are a database or website wizzkid or a computer programming genius- we so would love to hear from you!!  Please email and get in touch at info@pelican-post.org
