Forest Forge produce and tour high quality theatre to village halls, community centres and other rural locations. We specialise in taking theatre into non-theatre spaces and enabling people to access theatre close to home, as well as providing the opportunity for community cohesion. As a company with its heart in the New Forest we produce new plays that are truly reflective of the communities we serve and are often about the area and informed by stories we have heard.

Forest Forge has a large Creative Learning programme, running participatory drama activities with hard to reach and at risk groups including young people at risk of exclusion, a local traveller community and the elderly and terminally ill at a local hospice. One of the patients who worked with us at a hospice described the experience as giving him the chance to "remove the straightjacket".

Each week we work with over 145 young people as part of our Youth Theatre.  Our work with young people in the Youth Theatre and schools and colleges gives them confidence and helps them develop important team working and communication skills.
