The Maidstone Museums Foundations objective is to further the education of the public by the promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the Maidstone Museums and the Bentlif Art Gallery.
Situated in the heart of Kents County Town and housed in a range of historic buildings, Maidstone Museum contains over 600,000 artefacts and specimens, making it the largest collection in Kent and one of the best regional museums in the South East.
The Maidstone Museums Foundation are currently supporting the Maidstone Museum East Wing Project which involves new build and refurbishment of existing buildings which will allow more people to use the Museum and enjoy its unique collections. The extension will allow for more of our extensive collections to be displayed and greater access to these for our visitors, including a purpose built gallery for our nationally important collection of Edo-period Japanese art. Furthermore, the project involves upgrading the facilities and access to the Museum, including a new more welcoming entrance, ensuring that those from under-represented and harder to reach audiences are granted ease of access to the museum and its many resources.
Please help us to make sure the new East Wing lives up to its potential by donating to the project using the links below.
