Omnibus is one of London’s newest theatres and creative spaces. A multi-arts centre housed in a Victorian library, the building is home to a 110-seat studio theatre and performance and rehearsal spaces. We host a diverse and exciting programme of theatre, music, spoken word, visual arts and everything in between.
From 2006-2013, the local community campaigned to save Omnibus from corporate redevelopment. We raised over £130,000 and persuaded the council to keep the building's doors open to the public, and that an arts centre was an essential part of the fabric of the community.
Fuelled by the passion and drive of the local people who fought to save the building, we aim to engage our audiences with inspiring work that explores new artistic vocabularies and creatively connects with our local community.
What your help can do:
Will supply a director for a day to develop the artists of the future.
Will help fund a new writing group for adults, or mentoring for a long-term unemployed volunteer.
Allows us to stage a piece of new writing by providing actors, a director and free rehearsal space.
Will fund the ongoing restoration of our Victorian building, keeping our doors open for the benefit of the public.
Any donation, great or small, allows Omnibus to keep our doors open and deliver our mission to bring the best and most exciting art to the community. Thank you for your help.
