The Michael Green Foundation
TYPE 2 DIABETES • GET WISE. CHANGE LIVES.
To raise awareness of Type 2 Diabetes by promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Michael Green was a kind and loving husband, father and friend to all, greeting everyone with his smile and warmth. It was devastating for his family and friends when he died, but through this charity, we can prevent others from suffering the same loss and thus create something good from something so tragic.
With the first £10k that was raised, we built an educational dietetic kitchen at the Michael Clements Diabetes Centre at Watford General Hospital as a resource for current diabetes patients and others within our community. With the next £10K we helped to fund a dedicated dietician for this kitchen.
With our most recent donation of £14K the unit was able to purchase conferencing equipment that now helps to speed up patient care and deal with the ever-increasing number of patients.
There's more to come, so please check our website for current projects and events:
Thank you for your kind donation - it is greatly appreciated.
