Richmond Adult Community College
Richmond Adult and Community College (RACC) provides learning for wellbeing, personal and career development and employment for adults in Richmond and surrounding areas.
We believe that adult learning changes lives and life chances, builds resilient communities and keeps people well and contributing to society. We have created courses, services and support for adults that remove barriers to progression, build independence and help individuals achieve life and career goals.
At a time when Government is withdrawing funding from adult learning, RACC has remained true to its mission to enable adults to ‘unlock their talent and achieve their potential, through learning, skills and enterprise’ and has supported adult learning by creating bursaries to enable individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to develop the skills, interests and networks that will help them achieve their life goals. We also support enterprise through our Business School and Art School and Parkshot Gallery and shop.
We aim to help a wider range of people than are supported by government priority employability learning. We aim to meet the needs of the whole community, including people with a disability, older people, the unemployed and those seeking wellbeing and improved mental health. Our learners benefit from art, music and literature and business start up support courses as well as traditional vocational courses.
