Paul For Brain Recovery
A brain injury is life changing. For that reason alone, there needs to be more support for people affected. That is why our Founder, Paul Spence set up the charity, PAUL For Brain Recovery, to help fill the gap in the community. The vision of the charity is:
PAUL For Brain Recovery exisits to make life easier after brain injury by providing advice and support to empower all affected. We also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of brain injury.
PAUL For Brain Recovery provides a quality peer-to-peer support service in the community. Our Founder has thankfully lived through brain recovery so we know what’s needed. His ambition is to help others and make a difference.
With your support, we can achieve more. You can help with our ambition to raise awareness and help others by:
- Getting involved in our events by taking part
- Organising your own event and fundraise for the charity
- Volunteering your time to the charity
- Donating to or sponsoring the charity
Once you leave hospital you find your biggest challenge is only just starting. A new and completely different life is in front of you. The centre will provide support to those who need it, the brain injured and their families, and the centre will offer guidance through inspirational and motivational talks and educational sessions on topics from coping strategies to healthy nutrition, fitness, recovery and well being.
Associates of the PAUL charity, including leading brain injury specialists, will also provide support. Visitors will be able to take part in a number of specifically designed physical and mental activities to help stimulate and progress their minds and memories, with all regular visitors having their progress tracked each month to highlight steps forward in their recovery portfolio.
