95-106 Capital FMs Help a Capital Child was founded in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE, as the radio stations charity, to assist and give opportunities to thousands of children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness.
The projects Help a Capital Child funds include support groups for children and young people with a disability, special need or an illness, as well as a range of sports, music, drama and leisure activities and youth clubs.
Grants are also awarded to refuge and homelessness projects, holiday play schemes and residential breaks in the UK, cultural activities, supplementary schools, literacy programmes and more.
