Soundabout would like to see all children, young people and adults with profound disabilities and severe communication difficulties enjoying and participating in the world around them using music and sound as a means of communication, expression, learning, social interaction and personal development. We aim to demonstrate, train and educate to as wide an audience as possible how to use music and sound as a means of communication with children, young people and adults with profound and multiple disabilities and to equip all who live and work with them with the enthusiasm, confidence and skills to do so. Soundabout exists to make a difference to the lives of those people who have complex disabilities by helping them develop their ability to communicate and interact with the world around them through music and sound.
