The church of St Oswald has been at the centre of the village of Winwick for hundreds of years, but now the dreaded death watch beetle has wreaked havoc on the church roof: we need to restore our beautiful old church, and, with the help of English Heritage, have our big chance to save St Oswalds. 

And in February 2012, the grant from English Heritage was formally offered and accepted. Work on the nave roof will go ahead soon.
