The Safe Water Trust provides Aquafilters for families and communities in developing countries to give access to clean drinking water at the point of use.

Turning on a tap to have clean water is something we in developed countries take for granted, but about one sixth of the world’s population do not have ready access to clean drinking water. The majority of these people live in developing countries. The scale of the global problem is widely recognised and it is now accepted that access to water is fundamental not just to health and well-being, but also to sustainable economic development.

Thank you for your interest in our Aquafilters. All support we receive will directly help to get Aquafilters to those people in developing countries who are in desperate need of safe drinking water.

Whilst there is a general debate about the effectiveness of getting aid to developing countries, there can be no argument about the value of people having clean water. It is a sad truth that drinking dirty water remains the biggest cause of childhood mortality.

We have found that in schools where we have provided Aquafilters, there has been a reduction in pupil sickness, an increase in pupil attendance, improvement in learning achievement and also parents have reported that they are spending less money on medicines.

The Safe Water Trust is a not-for-profit charitable company, keeping the manufacturing costs of Aquafilters to a minimum. Every penny we receive in donation goes directly towards providing Aquafilters where they are desperately needed.
