About UK Youth - it's tough being a young person in the UK right now.  There are record numbers of 16-24 year-olds out of work, youth services have been hit hard by government cuts and young people are constantly confronted by negative images of themselves in the media.

For over 100 years UK Youth have been enabling young people from all backgrounds to realise their potential.  Today, through a national network of youth associations, we offer 790,000 7-25 year-olds access to a wide range of vital learning programmes.

Our home at Avon Tyrrell - situated in 65 acres of the New Forest, since 1946 Avon Tyrrell has been providing new experiences and opportunities for thousands of young people. As UK Youth’s National Activity & Residential Centre, around 20,000 young people visit each year to participate in training, activities and holidays. The centre provides full-board facilities in the ‘Arts & Crafts’ Grade 1 listed Avon Tyrrell House, and self-catering lodges within the estate, as well as being open to day visits for local people.
