What makes Childlife special?
One gift to Childlife supports four charities providing care and support for children, young people and their families.
How we work
Throughout the UK, thousands of children and young people are facing challenges in their lives as a result of illness, disability or social circumstances. Childlife helps to improve the lives of children and young people by raising funds for the work of its four member charities. Our partner charities supporting children are Ataxia UK, Acorns Childrens Hospice, National Deaf Childrens Society and the National Childrens Bureau.
Together they reach many thousands of children and young people every year, providing a range of direct services, information and advice to promote the interests and well being of all children and young people. In their different ways, the four charities are all providing support and information to improve the lives of children and young people every day.
Summary of our four partner charities:
- Acorns Childrens Hospice, where life limited children and their families receive all the love, care and support they need at an extremely difficult and challenging time.
- Ataxia UK, which helps children with ataxia - a rare condition that attacks the nervous system - have the best possible quality of life while researchers lok for a cure.
- National Childrens Bureau, which looks to advance the well being of all children and young people across every aspect of their lives.
- The National Deaf Childrens Society, which works to break down barriers and provide vital services for every deaf child so that they have an equal chance of being all they can be.
