Cornwall Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care to the people of Cornwall living with life limiting illnesses. Many lives across the county and beyond have been touched by the holistic care provided by the charity at its two hospices, Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia's in Hayle. The care is provided free of charge, but costs £5.6 million a year or £11 a minute. With less than 15% funding from government sources the charity is extremely reliant on the support and generosity of the general public to maintain its services.
