Kirkwood, the Hospice for Kirklees, cares for local people who face life-threatening illness, for example cancer, late stage heart failure or severe lung disease.

The Hospice provides 16 in-patient beds, day care services in the hospice’s Support & Therapy Centre, including a drop-in service at the hospice every Friday and bereavement services in the Family Care Centre, which includes care & support for bereaved children.

There is also a team of three palliative care specialist nurses, who provide advice and support in patients’ own homes and an education centre providing palliative care education and training.

In 2010 we need to raise over £3.4 million to continue to provide this care and could not do this without the support of people like you - thank you.
