Missing People
Homepage
We offer a lifeline for the 250,000 people who run away and go missing each year. For those left behind we provide specialised support to ease the heartache and confusion, and help search for their missing loved ones.
We work across the UK and make a difference in every region. We are caring, highly skilled staff and volunteers working around the clock alongside our partners.
What we provide:
Searching
The search starts at missingpeople.org.uk where we make appeals for vulnerable missing people from every region of the UK. The charity enables anyone with information about a missing person, to contact us free-of-charge, in confidence, 24 hours a day.
Helping young people who have run away or gone missing
Runaway Helpline is a dedicated lifeline for children and young people who are away from home or care. Supportive staff and volunteers provide advice, for free, 24 hours a day by phone, email and text – even when there is no credit on a phone.
Helping adults who are missing
Caring, highly skilled staff and volunteers at Missing People are on hand to provide a lifeline to any adult who is missing. We can confidentially reconnect adults with family or careers, or simply listen and offer advice and support.
Helping families of the missing
For the families and friends left behind, we are at the end of the phone 24 hours a day to provide specialised support. We campaign on behalf of all families affected, to enable long-term solutions that ease the heartache and end the confusion.
