The Ramblers
Homepage
The Ramblers is Britain’s largest walking charity - dedicated to protecting Britain’s unique network of public paths, safeguarding the natural beauty of the countryside, expanding rights of responsible access for everyone and educating the public about the health and environmental benefits of walking.
Since our inception in 1935 we have achieved huge successes - from the creation of National Parks in the 1950s, to the ‘right to roam’ in 2000, and onwards to the Marine and Coastal Act, passed in 2009. None of these amazing achievements could have been possible without our members, supporters and volunteers.
With 115,000 members in England, Scotland and Wales, we've been working for walkers for over 76 years.
