Safe and Sound Homes supports young people in North Yorkshire who are homeless, or potentially homeless, by providing a safe place to live. We do this by offering accommodation and support for one night up to 18 months. All accommodation is in the home of fully trained and vetted volunteers, our ‘hosts’.

We provide short term, emergency accommodation for a young person if a personal or family crisis results in them having no home to go to. Sometimes, after a breathing space the young person may be able to return home. 

When returning home is not an option, and if appropriate, Supported Lodgings accommodation may be offered.The young person is placed with a volunteer host who acts as a positive role model and provides them with the support they need to succeed.
