Safe And Sound Homes
Homepage
SASH (Safe and Sound Homes) supports young people in North Yorkshire who are homeless, or potentially homeless, by providing a safe place to live. We do this by offering accommodation and support for one night up to two years. All accommodation is in the home of fully trained and vetted volunteers, our ‘hosts’.
We provide short term, emergency accommodation known as SASH Nightstop. This scheme ensure young people are kept safe at night if they have been made homeless.
In York, SASH also runs a Supported Lodgings project which enables young people who have been made homeless to develop independent living skills in a supportive environment, before moving on into their own accommodation. The scheme is aimed at those who are not able to live at home, but do not yet have the skills or the maturity to live on their own.
