Every year, The Snowdon Award Scheme provides students who have a physical or sensory disability, with grants ranging from £250 to £2,500. These help cover additional costs, like computers, mobility equipment or human help that push up the already high costs of being a student or trainee. Whether they fund a sign language interpreter, someone to take notes, a laptop with special software or other assistive technology, carers accommodation, transport or something more specific, our grants can change peoples lives. They provide students with the opportunity to access education or training and enjoy a level of independence that would not otherwise be possible. Anyone with a physical or sensory impairment who is undertaking a course of further or higher education or other vocational training can apply to us for help with their disability-related study costs.
