Welcome to UKHF, 

We are a small grassroots charity made up of people dedicated to supporting the education, welfare and development of 250 orphaned children at the Healing Focus Orphanage Centre in Busiiro Village, eastern Uganda. 

Our Work

Our hands on approach means we roll up our sleeves and get stuck in at every opportunity. UKHF fundraise for important improvements and vital supplies for the children. We also provide practical advice and assistance.

Our team make regular trips to Uganda to spend time at the Healing Children School where we deliver your wonderful donations and provide extra support on the ground.

Uganda 2012

We had a wonderful time visiting Healing Focus in Uganda. Thanks to your help and donations the children are happy and continue to thrive. We were there during exam week so we got even more insight into how dedicated the children and teachers are to achieving a good education and maintaining the school reputation - "the best school in the district" 

 There was still plenty of time for celebration and the children sang beautifully to welcome us. It was such a joy and we are honoured to be part of a story that simply would not be possible without YOU.

Great News:

Healing Children School are MOVING to OWNED Land.

This is an exciting time as Healing Children School is RELOCATING to its OWN land.  This is a  wonderful achievement as the children will finally have more classroom space, a full size playground and sports field, a kitchen, latrines and much more. It was wonderful to visit the new land and witness the tremendously hard work being done and the amazing progress. New buildings are in place and the latrines are almost complete. The move will be complete very soon.

UKHF Sponsorship Scheme is changing lives!

We are absolutely delighted to report that five children joined Busiiro Secondary School as our first sponsored children. This is a life changing opportunity and there were "tears of joy" in the community. Busiiro Secondary School is a lovely school that we visited while in Uganda and we know our sponsored children will be happy there.

Successful Harvest for Healing Focus

Healing Children School is one step closer to self-sustenance. They have had their first harvest and what a success it has been. The school have a great supply of food from the harvest and were even able to sell some of the crop to raise funds for the school.

February 2011 An amazing journey to Uganda

We were able to achieve so much because of your help and support. Among the donations that we delivered for the children and staff were;

• 150 assorted educational wall charts.
• 60 lovely reading books from which we were able to establish a library at the school.
• 300 clipboards for the children to use in their classrooms.
• 300 t-shirts with the school emblem.
• Vital medical supplies.
• Sports equipment and toys.
• Arts and crafts materials.
• Text books and stationery.
• Food supplies.

UKHF have been working in partnership with the Healing Focus Orphanage Centre since 2008. During this time we have provided regular financial support, funded the building of new wooden classrooms, benches, seven latrines and much more.

Our long term aim

Our long term aim is to help make the Healing Focus Orphanage Centre into a residential, self-sustaining enterprise fully integrated within the local community.
