rehabilitation, recreation and competition for over 60 years.
Based in Stoke Mandeville, WheelPower transforms the lives of disabled people through sport.
WheelPower aims to:
• increase the number of disabled people leading healthy
and active lives
• increase the number of sporting opportunities for
disabled people
• raise awareness of wheelchair sport
• provide world leading facilities at Stoke Mandeville Stadium,
the birthplace of the Paralympics
• use the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and
their legacy to inspire disabled people to play sport
