In loving memory of Charlie Hutton

Born: 20/09/1997 - Passed away: 20/07/2012

As many of you may know, in July 2012 our younger brother Charlie Hutton, aged 14, died in a tragic boating accident. The RNLI were absolutely amazing in their efforts and we wanted to show our appreciation for the incredible work they do. Having raised £27,848.54, including gift aid, on our Team Hutton giving page, we had not been aware that the page would automatically close after two years. As a result in 2015 we set up this someone special page so that, with your support, we can continue raising money in Charlies name for this great charity and as a lasting legacy to his memory and the skill, passion and fun he brought to everything he did.

We hope you will continue to support us in our future fundraising activities for this extremely worthy cause. You can find out more about our past activities on the Team Hutton blog here:

We are also evolving the great fundraising Sam did through Challenge-Charlie with his 97 days of running in 2014. We have set up a site for more challenges and Oxted Hockey Club were the first to take part by undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge in 2015 to help raise funds for the RNLI and Oxted Hockey Club where Charlie was a player. They raised £5,000 for their amazing effort. Tom is now embarking on a new challenge in the form of Challenge Charlie Ironman Copenhagen 2016. Find out more on his blog:

We will continue to think of ideas, raise funds and support the RNLI. Sams charity single Rescued, that he played at Charlies memorial service, is still available on itunes with profits going to the RNLI. Listen and buy if you like it here.  And if you like his music, the album he made at college is still available as a free download on his music website. Click here to listen and download - enjoy!
Thanks again for all your support
Tom, Sam, Simon & Gill.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 22 people every day. From 235 lifeboat stations, they are well trained and equipped to put to sea in the most fearsome conditions. RNLI lifeguards patrol more than 140 beaches in England and Wales. The RNLI is an independent charity and receives no government funding. We rely on public support.
