Cam Sight
Cam Sight supports people in Cambridgeshire in maintaining their independence and quality of life. We offer practical and emotional support in people’s homes and communities. We provide monthly social groups in rural areas; equipment and technology Centres offering demonstrations and advice; training in mobility and daily living skills; sport and leisure activities. Help us to build a flagship Technology Centre. Cam Sight looks to build a Technology Centre in Cambridge for blind and partially sighted people to mark its Centenary. Developing technologies transform the lives of people with sight loss. Blind people of any age can use iPhones, iPads or SatNavs in all aspects of life: education, employment, mobility, information and communication. Yet many with sight loss use little technology. They are unaware of equipment or lack confidence in using it. Blind and partially sighted people are cut off from others and among the most isolated in our communities. Cam Sight must ensure that all with sight loss can use developing technology as an integral part of a fulfilled and independent life. Cam Sight will be redesigned for people with sight loss. They will be welcomed into an inspiring reception and a fully equipped demonstration area beyond. Counselling and technology training rooms will ensure that clients receive the highest quality care and support. We are very lucky to own our building and we believe these plans will make the best possible and cost effective use of the building we have. The total cost of the refurbishment will be £500,000. This is a large sum but donations mean we have already made a significant start. Every donation large and small will help us achieve our goal.

Thank you for visiting our page.  We are the Coton Canterers and we want to canter round the Chariots of Fire course on 16 September.  The course is 1.7 miles through the historic heart of Cambridge and three ancient colleges.

We are raising money for Cambridge PPF, and particularly for its award winning educational programme - mostly run at our educational centre at Wandlebury - and for Camsight - the Cambridge charity for the blind and partially sighted.

Please help us!
