We’ve saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and survival has doubled over the past 40 years. We fund research into more than 200 types of cancer from the most common, such as breast, bowel, lung and prostate cancers, to rare types of tumours and children’s cancers, we support groundbreaking science that benefits everyone.
Maggie's Centres
A Maggie’s Centre is a place to turn to for help with any of the problems, small or large, associated with cancer. DONT WALK and FS are delighted to announce a groundbreaking and unique collaboration in support of One Million Miles for Ellie.

Overwhelmed by the death of her daughter Ellie, a former St. Andrews student, Michelle turned to adventure, kindness and the help of others to overcome her grief and fulfil her daughter’s greatest dream: to destroy cancer. The challenge: to reach one million miles by any means, by anyone, in one million minutes, and to raise one million pounds for Maggie’s, Cancer Research UK, and Macmillan Cancer Support. In doing so Ellie's spirit of adventure and determination lives on.

Inspired by the campaign, its message, and the impact Ellie had within the St. Andrews community, FS and DW for the first time are working together to promote, fundraise, and contribute miles. In addition to individual challenges, FS and DW will together be walking along the Fife Coastal Path to St. Andrews to contribute 1,000 miles on the 29th October.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting the campaign and achieving Ellie's dream. Share this post, donate some money, get out there, and contribute some miles!
