The Police Treatment Centres
Every day police officers are suffering injuries and illnesses that have an impact on their work to protect local communities. The Police Treatment Centres is a registered charity which provides vital treatment and support to help these officers return to better health and get back to work sooner. We provide mainly physiotherapy treatment but also stress management and respite to officers in need of our services. The treatment is residential and we run two treatment centres, one in Auchterarder, Perthshire and the other in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We treat nearly 4000 officers each year.
The Police Rehabilitation Centre
Founded in 1890 by Miss Catherine Gurney OBE and based in Hove, West Brighton until the Centre moved to its present location in South Oxfordshire in 1988. Every year, at Flint House, a team of highly skilled physiotherapists and healthcare professionals assist over 3,500 injured police officers to get back to full operational health. Through an ever increasing range of specialist intensive treatments and care services, the focus of everyone working at Flint House is on assisting officers back to duty quickly, effectively and with long lasting results. The Centre offers a residential, holistic environment for the undertaking of intensive rehabilitation, mental health support, physiotherapy, and health & wellbeing, supported with complementary treatments including health classes, aromatherapy, Pilates, and all backed by comprehensive treatment and medical facilities. The main income of the Centre derives from a small weekly charity payroll donation by serving officers within the 29 forces covered by the Centre, plus a small number of independent donations and ex gratia grant funds. No regular income is received from government or local authorities Flint House is highly regarded by officers who have experienced the Centres environment and is consistently credited with assisting in the return of officers to full duties earlier than expected.

Hello there Ladies & Gents,

Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page and for either donating, or having the consideration to perhaps donate to this wonderful charity.

I plan to jump out of a plane on August 3rd 2016 from 13,000ft alongside the most recognised and skilled Sky Divers in the UK, The RED DEVILS. I will be doing this alongside some of my team mates from England Police Rugby Union in order for to raise funds for a charity named Police Treatment Centres and Police Rehabilitation Centre

The charities provides three Treatment Centres where serving and retired police officers can receive recuperation and treatment following an illness or injury with the aim of assisting their return to better health. The Centres are Flint House, Oxfordshire, St Andrews, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and Castlebrae in Auchterarder, Perthshire.

Im sure you will agree they are invaluable assets in assisting both serving and retired police officers returning to full health. The centres are 100% charity run and assisted by donations like yours!

Thank you all so much for reading this (I hope you got this far down) and hopefully donating a few of your hard earned pennies to such a worthwhile charity!

All the best and I assure you I will do my best to fall with grace!

Grant xx
