Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) was the first charity in the UK to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic and is the UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity. Our mission is to reduce the spread of HIV, promote good sexual health and provide services that improve the health and quality of life of anyone affected. We also campaign for greater public and political understanding of the personal, social and medical impact of HIV and sexual ill health.
Age UK is the new force combining Age Concern and Help the Aged We believe that age needs respect. It needs kindness. Sometimes it needs help. Too many people experience difficulties as they age. We cannot promise everyone good health, but we will fight for good care for all of us. Where we find loneliness, we will reach out. When age becomes a burden, we will try to lighten the load. Age UK will campaign. We will fundraise. We will research. We will make the powers that be listen. We will do all this to make life better for older people here and abroad. Age UK is for all of us, because age is a part of life.

Hello again.
I'm back running the London Marathon for the 3rd year in a row - which means I'm begging for sponsorship once more (sorry).
I know people are skint this time of year but would really appreciate anything you can spare...after all it is me who's doing all the hard work (early morning training runs in the winter aren't pretty) - Plus it's to raise money for 3 great charities.
I've not been able to run for last 2 months due to shin splints but am determined to run anyway even if Paula pissy knickers Radcliffe's record will have to wait for another year.
I raised just under £4,000 last year so this time I'd like to get more which will be split evenly between the following three charities...
* Cancer Research UK
* Terence Higgins Trust.
* Age UK (formerly Help The Aged)
