Hemiplegia is a neurological condition that weakens one side of the body and affects one child in a thousand. It is sometimes described as a form of cerebral palsy and the effects are similar to those of a stroke. HemiHelp is a membership organisation offering information and support to children and their families affected by hemiplegia.

Jenny's running a marathon!!!
I did it! I ran the London Marathon! It took me 6 hours, 10 minutes and 11 seconds.
At mile 13 I thought that I wouldn't make it as I couldn't imagine running those 13 miles all over again, but after mile 15 things improved and actually went really well until mile 20. After that it got really tough and I did have to walk quite a bit of miles 21 and 22, but the crowds were amazing and kept me going. My family were fantastic too (and my friend Lizzie) and I saw them at least five times as I ran the course which gave me a much needed boost each time.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and been so supportive and encouraging - I couldn't have done it without you. I would also like to take a moment to remember my wonderful friend Amy who died just over a year ago who inspired me to enter the marathon in the first place. Amy - I did it for you and I hope you are proud of me - I love you and miss you so much.
