The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Help us transform young peoples lives! The Duke of Edinburgh's Award supports around 275,000 people aged 14-25 from all backgrounds every year. We inspire, guide and support young people to face life's challenges, and we recognise their acheivements. We give young people of every background the opportunity to succeed. We support over 30,000 excluded and vulnerable young people every year. Our ethos is to enable every young person of every background to take part in our programme and succeed, regardless of their barriers. We also support about 50,000 volunteers who instil a sense of adventure and encourage young people through the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Through the DofE programme young people learn new skills, take part in sport, volunteer in their communities and experience the challenge and adventure of an expedition. Together we have a lasting impact on young people's behaviour, skills and life chances. Our programme enables young people to develop through personal experience, by inspiring them to spend up to two years volunteering, learning a skill, getting fit and undertaking an expedition. The result is the worlds leading achievement award for young people, recognised by employers and universities alike. Click on the Start fundraising button to create your fundraising page for one of our Challenge events, supporter groups or to set up a sponsorship page for your own challenge. Thank you for supporting the thousands of young people doing their DofE.

My page:

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my page and to make a donation to this amazing charity supporting youngsters to climb their own personal mountains.

As an Outdoor Instructor I work closely with DofE students through training and assessing the expedition element of the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

We are also running an expedition alongside our acclimatisation programme for a small number of Gold DofE students to trek with us to Everest Base Camp, up Kala Patthar and then to climb Lobuche East before we head back up the Khumbu Valley to climb higher. This is a unique opportunity for some 18 - 24 year olds to use the expedition as their Residential element of their Gold Award.

Follow our progress on or on Facebook at 29,029 feet in 2 boots to see how you can come on this journey with us.

Many many thanks!
