Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity
We need to raise about £100 million every year to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, buy vital equipment, fund pioneering research and support important patient, family and staff support projects, to ensure every child at Great Ormond Street Hospital receives the world-class care they deserve.
Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an independent international humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries. Every year MSF sends around 3,000 doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, administrators and other professionals to work alongside over 25,000 locally hired staff. Together they run medical projects in more than 60 countries around the world. In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF provides essential healthcare, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, tackles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centres for malnourished children and offers psychological support. When needed, MSF also constructs wells and dispenses clean drinking water and distributes materials like blankets, plastic sheeting and other basic necessities. Through longer-term programmes, MSF treats patients with infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, sleeping sickness and HIV/AIDS and provides medical and psychological care to marginalised groups such as street children. MSF was founded in 1971 as the first non-governmental organisation to provide both emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. MSF is an international network with branches in 23 countries.

This is the fundraising page for the Hand-dyed Beekeepers Quilt Challenge! All over the world hexipuffs are being made to make a 7ft x 6ft Beekeepers Quilt.

The quilt itself will be the grand prize in a prize draw to be held once the quilt is completed.
All donations are welcome, whatever the size. If you'd like to be entered into the prize draw to win the quilt, please donate a multiple of £2.

Leave your name and ravelry username or email address so we can enter you into the prize draw! You will receive one entry per £2 donated. If you have donated without leaving any contact details and intended to be entered into the draw rather than make a simple donation, please email lionessarts@gmail.com with proof of the amount dated and time of donation.

The original Beekeepers Quilt was designed by tiny owl knits. If you'd like to take part in this project by knitting hexipuffs you can purchase her original pattern here, and join the Hand-dyed Beekeepers Challenge group on ravelry here.

Progress photos will be uploaded as the hexipuffs mount up!
