Snow-Camp (Kitesurfing Armada)
The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada is world record breaking kitesurfing event aiming to support three charities - Virgin Unite, the RNLI and the host charity for the event, Snow-Camp. Virgin Unite is the non- profit foundation of the Virgin Group. They unite people to tackle tough social and environmental problems in an entrepreneurial way. All of Virgin Unite’s overheads are covered by Richard Branson and the Virgin Group, meaning that 100% of additional donations received, go direct to the frontline where they are needed most. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 22 people every day around the coasts and waterways of Britain and Ireland. They have been a massive support to kitesurfers over the years and we are delighted to support them through our event. Snow-Camp is a youth charity whose work with inner city young people from disadvantaged backgrounds has developed rapidly since being established in London in 2003. Their programmes support young people by combining snow-sports and intensive youth work sessions to engage, challenge and motivate young people, transforming attitudes and behaviour and developing key life-skills, leading to snowsports qualifications and jobs in the snowsport industry. Snow-Camp staff founded this event in 2013 and they remain the host charity for the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada.

Hi, and thanks for visiting my page!

This September, in aid of a charity called Snow-Camp, I and about 250 other kitesurfers will be gathering at Hayling on the south coast and attempting to set the world record for the largest parade of kiters to complete a one mile course on the water. This will immediately be followed by a mammoth 40 mile downwind kite, landing at Lancing. All we need is a fair wind and plenty of support from you. (And maybe a spare set of knees, just in case).

Snow-Camp is an innovative youth charity that uses a unique combination of skiing, snowboarding and life-skills programmes to support inner-city young people. Through the combination of snowsports and life-skills, their programmes enable young people to grow in confidence and self esteem, develop as individuals and make positive choices for their lives.

Please dig deep and help me hit my target. Any donation is welcome no matter how small!

You're also welcome to come along in September (date to be announced) and cheer us on.

See you on the beach!

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
