Nightingale Hammerson
Nightingale House & Hammerson House have recently merged to form "Nightingale Hammerson", a large provider of care for older members of the Jewish Community. Nightingale is a 200 bedded home in South West London and Hammerson House a 68 bedded home in North West London. Nightingale House offers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care on its large South London site. It offers "care for life" and an exciting and diverse activities programme together with a wide range of services and facilities including an in house medical service, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy and more. Hammerson House is located in the heart of the Jewish community in North West London and was established some 50 years ago with an ethos to provide care to frailest in the community regardless of their financial means. This ethos continues to guide the home today. Both homes have ambitious and extensive rebuilding and refurbishment programmes. The Charity receives no support fromeither central or local government in respect of any such capital projects. It is therefore largely dependent on the generosity of its friends in the community to fund such programmes and also to help bridge the gap between monies received from local authorities and the true cost of running the homes. The Charity is facing the ongoing challenge of caring for a client group who are increasingly frail and with very high care needs. Both Nightingale House and Hammerson House welcome residents from acoross the Jewish community and throughout the UK.

Thanks for visiting our page.

Andrew Leigh, Director of Operations and Cathy Buckingham, Executive Assistant to the CEO, are running this year’s London Marathon in support of our amazing charity.

All the funds raised will go towards providing essential financial support towards the running costs of our homes so we can continue to provide exemplary long and short term residential, nursing and dementia care and services to our residents.

They are both training really hard.

For Andrew this will be his 1st attempt of running a Marathon.  A big leap from his regular 10km run to the 26.2 mile challenge!

Cathy is taking part in the London Marathon for the 5th time and will be trying very hard to beat her PERSONAL BEST of 4 hours and 13 mins.

Their aim is to raise £50 for every mile they run. So please do get behind them and give as much as you can.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
