Charities

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s leading specialist dementia charity and works to improve the lives of everyone affected by dementia. We provide information and advice. We have a network of services and support groups from more than 60 sites around Scotland. We also campaign to improve public policies and services for people with dementia and their carers.
Prostate Cancer UK
Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life. We support men and provide vital information. We find answers by funding research into causes and treatments. And we lead change, raising the profile of the disease and improving care. We believe that men deserve better.
The Bobby Moore Fund
The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK raises money for research into bowel cancer, and also works to raise public awareness of the disease. Stephanie Moore MBE established the Bobby Moore Fund, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, in 1993. The Fund was set up in memory of Stephanie's late husband, footballer Bobby Moore OBE, who sadly died from bowel cancer, aged just 51. Each year, with the help of people like you, the Bobby Moore Fund raises over £2 million for vital bowel cancer research.
Crohn's and Colitis UK
Crohn’s and Colitis UK is the new name for The National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease (NACC). We are a major charity offering support through our website, helplines, newsletters, information booklets and local community groups. The charity campaigns for better healthcare and funds vital research in Crohn's and Colitis. Crohn’s and Colitis are inflammatory bowel diseases which last a lifetime and for which there is no known cure. They can strike at any age but young people are most at risk. Around 250,000 people across the UK have these conditions.
The Eve Appeal
The Eve Appeal was set up to save women's lives by funding groundbreaking research into gynaecological cancers. Our current focus is to develop effective methods of prediction, detection, treatment and care of ovarian cancer. This world-leading research is complicated and challenging, but the ambition is simple: to identify techniques that could halve deaths from ovarian cancer. It is a huge undertaking, but with your support we are sure that we can achieve this.

We are on countdown to our challenge ... to 'run' the Great North Run on September 15th 2013.

Some of us are runners, some of us are ... not! But we are all now in training and will work hard to make sure we complete the task.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to our chosen charities.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donation you can make - no matter how large or small. Every penny, cent, euro - or any other worldwide denomination - really counts!

We have had plenty of advice. Now we need the pledges to really make a difference to so many lives.

And don't forget, Virgin Money Giving will claim gift aid on your behalf where eligible.
