Oxfemme's Trailtrekker Challenge

Laura Ferris

My page:

Well it's Marathon time soon and you may be thinking what a challenge 26.2miles is going to be...but what about two and a half marathons back to back with no sleep?

That is exactly what we will be doing in May 2012! Trailtrekker is an event organised by Oxfam to raise money and awareness for their hard work worldwide. It involves teams of 4 walking a total of 62.5 miles (100km) in a time limit of just 30 hours!!

Our team consists of

Mary Arber - Oxfam Shop manager in skipton, keen walker and clothes lover

Caroline Ray - Assisstant for children with special needs, allotmenteer and book hoarder.

Liz Lempen - Globetrotting Puppeteer and lover of all things daft.

Laura Ferris - Bank cashier, amatuer runner, vintage hoarder.

We are hoping to raise at least £2000 for Oxfam. Here's what your donation could do:
£10 - provides food for a family

£20 - provides safe water for 20 people

£50 - builds a toilet!

WHATS IT ALL FOR?? have a look here and find out

People want justice, not handouts. That's why Oxfam campaigns for change, as well as working with poor communities for a better future. They work at every level - from local to global - getting poor people heard, challenging decisions by leaders whenever they see the developing world's interests under fire. Poverty is preventable. Time to campaign with us?
