My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

Starting on Monday 28 January 2013 for fourteen weeks I went on a sponsored weight loss challange as part of the Pounds4Pounds event for Harris Hospice. My aim was to lose 2 stone (28lb or 12.7kg) - that's averaging 2lb a week for the 14 weeks.

At the final weigh in, I had lost 1st 7lb - a total of 21lb.

Harris HospisCare with St Christopher’s is an adult hospice caring for patients from the age of 18 upwards in the London Borough of Bromley.

Last year 404 new patients were referred to the home care service. The home care services operates a 24 hour visiting service, 7 days a week.

On any one day Harris Hospiscare with St Christopher’s cares for around 200 people in their own home.

As well as a home care service they also run a thriving day care service and a comprehensive lymphoedema service to Bromley residents whatever the cause of their lymphoedema. The service to families and carers extends into bereavement.

It costs £1.5 million each year to maintain their service and less than half of that comes from the NHS - the rest has to be raised by voluntary contributions.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
