Charity

The Nayamba Trust
We are a small UK charity who ensure 100% of all our donations go directly to support Nayamba School, in Zambia. We also visit the school at least annually to see the difference our financial support is having, to identify future needs and to support practically with teacher training etc. This school provides education to 300 children who had never been able to have an education as other government schools are too far away and too expensive. We help the school by raising money for essential resources, cover the cost of teacher salaries and also contribute to capital building projects. For more information go to www.nayambaschool.org

Exminster Primary and Alphington Primary are going into battle.......all for a great cause!

We are asking you to join us in 'Bob-a-job' - doing chores to raise money for Nayamba School. Both before and after school, the children of Nayamba School do daily chores to help their families.  We are asking that you raise money by helping your families.  You could do the washing up, hang out the washing, hoover, dust, wash cars, tidy, do some gardening etc.   Your time and the money you raise would directly support the children of Nayamba School.

Mrs Whalley, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Mason are joining with 7 other adults to go to Nayamba School in June half term.  We will be taking 400kg of resources with us and want to buy books and other resources to fill our suitcases and leave at Nayamba School.  Our main focus of this visit is promoting reading with a range of reading strategies combined with PE and Art.

We are competing against Alphington, who are taking on the same challenge and sending some teachers to Nayamba as well.  The schools are trying to raise the most money - with every single penny going to support Nayamba School for books and resources.  If every child in our 2 schools were able to raise £3, we would be able to take over £2000 worth of resources with us.

Here is a chance to make a real difference...........and beat a local school at the same time!  Come on Exminster!
