Hello,

This summer, I am entering the British 10km run in aid of NAM (www.aidsmap.com); a charity organisation established in 1987 to provide clear, calm, accurate information and support for health care professionals and people living with HIV.

The world is full of misinformation surrounding HIV. When I see a patient for the first time the NAM website forms an integral part of the information and guidance that I offer.

Stigma is often an overwhelming factor for a person living with HIV. It is through education, information and knowledge that the barriers of stigma can be broken down.

I am a HIV Nurse Specialist and I use the NAM service in my everyday work, which is why I am proud to be participating in this worthwhile event.

Thank you for your support.
