Ambitious about Autism
Ambitious about Autism is the national charity for children and young people with autism. We provide services, raise awareness and understanding and influence policy. We exist to enable children with autism to learn, thrive and achieve. Through TreeHouse School we provide specialist education. Our ambition is to make the ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism.

My daughter is clever, funny, beautiful and brave.

My daughter also has Asperger's Syndrome.

For years we fought to get support. It was a tough time. We both cried a lot.

Now we have the help we need. My daughter is happy and confident. She is making friends and starting to think about her future.

I am ambitious about autism. I am ambitious for my daughter. I believe that she will lead a happy and fulfilled life. But for too many young people with autism this is not the case. Too many young people with autism are still failing to receive the understanding and kindness that they need to thrive. This shouldn't still be happening.

So I am going to run the London Marathon 2014 for Ambitious about Autism, the national charity for children with autism. I am going to take on one of the world's biggest and toughest races. It will require months of hard training, physical and mental endurance, in all weather, no matter what.

But it still won't be a patch on what many kids with autism go through every day of their lives.

So please, sponsor me to run the mighty VLM 2014. Every penny you donate will go to Ambitious About Autism. Its vision is to make the ordinary possible for children and young people with autism. Its mission is to help them to learn, thrive and achieve.

I reckon that's worth running 26.2 miles for.

Thank you.

Sophie
